Shipping policy

SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

Trade Outlet Scotland Ltd offers delivery and collection options depending on the type, size, weight and destination of the goods purchased.

DELIVERY OPTIONS

Available delivery options and charges may vary by product and destination and will normally be displayed at checkout, stated in the product listing or agreed with the customer before dispatch.

Some items may qualify for local or free delivery. Other items may require parcel, pallet or specialist transport.

LARGE & HEAVY GOODS

Many of our products are large, heavy or commercial items, including machinery, catering equipment, access equipment, refrigeration equipment, tiles and job lots.

These goods may require palletised or specialist delivery.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that there is suitable access at the delivery address and, where required, suitable facilities or assistance for unloading.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, pallet deliveries may be kerbside only and the delivery driver may not be able to move goods inside a property or commercial premises.

DELIVERY TIMES

Any delivery dates or times provided are estimates unless we expressly confirm otherwise.

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the stated or agreed timeframe, but delays can occasionally occur due to carriers, traffic, weather, access issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights relating to delivery times.

DELIVERY AREA

We primarily deliver within mainland Great Britain.

Delivery availability and charges for the Scottish Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and other remote or offshore locations may differ and should be confirmed with us before ordering where a delivery option is not available at checkout.

DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and appropriate contact details.

Please notify us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.

Once goods have been dispatched, it may not always be possible to change the delivery address.

FAILED OR ABORTED DELIVERY

Where delivery cannot reasonably be completed because incorrect information was supplied, nobody is available to receive the goods, suitable access is unavailable, or required unloading arrangements have not been made, reasonable redelivery or associated carrier costs may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.

INSPECTION ON DELIVERY

Customers should inspect goods and packaging for visible transport damage as soon as reasonably possible.

If damage is visible, please take photographs of the goods and packaging and contact us promptly.

This assists us in investigating any transport claim and does not affect statutory rights.

COLLECTION

Collection may be available for certain products by prior arrangement.

Customers collecting large or heavy goods are responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle and appropriate equipment for safely transporting and securing the goods.

Please do not travel to collect an order until collection arrangements have been confirmed.

RETURNS

Return transportation is governed by our Returns & Refund Policy.

For eligible consumer change-of-mind cancellations, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where permitted by law and as explained in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Because some goods require pallet or specialist transport, return transportation costs can be substantial.
